Adam Borics questions Caldwell’s gas tank, feels ‘no pressure’ being undefeated

Adam Borics (14-0 MMA) returns to the cage at Bellator 238 after an impressive finish over Pat Curran.

The undefeated featherweight prospect will put his undefeated record on the line against a former Bellator champion in Darrion Caldwell (13-3 MMA). Looking to advance in the Featherweight Grand Prix, Borics feels no pressure heading into the biggest fight in his career.

“I’ve been working so hard for this moment. So I just I just try to enjoy it.”

Borics hasn’t had easy matchups under the Bellator banner since debuting in 2017. Names like Teodor Nikolov, Josenaldo Silva, and Aaron Pico have all fallen to the Hungary fighter. And the names he will likely fight in the Grand Prix are also tough.

Regardless who’s in front of him, Borics never lacks in self-belief. “I believe in my work, you know,” said Adam. “I believe in my training, that’s why I am confident, because I know I did everything right.”

Proud to represent Hungary on the MMA scene, Borics feels his people’s energy when he fights. He has even become somewhat of a celebrity. “After the Pico fight, everything changed,” said Borics. “I got more famous, I get more attention over there. But you know, I am living in Florida so I didn’t feel it too much.”

Come fight night, Borics plans to pressure Caldwell and eventually tire him out. Then, get his hand raised. “He doesn’t have a gas tank like me,” said Borics. “He can talk a lot of shit. I don’t care. It’s funny. I mean, he’s a funny guy.”

“The Kid” is prepared for whatever Darrion brings on fight night and expects to leave The Forum undefeated. Whether its wrestling or trash talk, Borics is confident in his abilities and wants to continue doing what he does best: finishing people.
