VIDEO: Cody Brundage respects veteran opponent, but ‘I’m a different animal’
Cody Brundage has only three professional fights on his resume, but what he has done in that short amount of time has warranted an opportunity to fight for the Lights Out Championship middleweight title against an experienced opponent.
Brundage will face 28-fight veteran Erick Lozano this Saturday in the main event of Lights Out Championship 6 for the vacant 185-pound title. The event takes place at theย Deltaplex Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich.
The 25-year-old Brundage, who is the husband of UFC veteran Amanda Bobby Cooper, discusses what he took away from his amateur career to lead to a 3-0 start as a pro, the growth and evolution of MMA, how his wife has been an influence on his career, his thoughts on his 28-fight veteran opponent, how he sees the fight playing out, eyeing a Contender Series spot next summer, and much more.
Check out the full interview with Cody Brundage, one of the bright middleweight prospects in the US, in the video below before he fights for his first professional title this weekend.
