UFC Boston just received the hometown fight it deserves.

First reported by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, a featherweight bout between Zabit Magomedsharipov and Calvin Kattar will co-headline UFC Fight Night on October 18.

Kattar (20-3) is coming off back to back first-round finishes over Ricardo Lamas and Chris Fishgold. Campaigning to fight on the card since his win at UFC 238, Kattar gets his homecoming as he leads the New England Cartel to battle come October. “The Boston Finisher” looks to push his win streak to three against a top prospect in the featherweight division.

Magomedsharipov (17-1) has been touted as a future champion at 145 pounds. He’s currently riding a 13-fight win steak with recent wins over Jeremy Stephens, Brandon Davis, and Kyle Bochniak. The Russian looks to make it 14 when he enters enemy territory this fall, extending his UFC record to 6-0.

UFC Boston is scheduled to take place at TD Garden and air on ESPN. The card will be headlined by a lightweight bout between Chris Weidman and Dominick Reyes.
