Greg Rebello defends heavyweight title against Kevin Haley at CES 57
CES 57 will take place on July 26th at the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island, and will be host to a heavyweight main event title bout where Greg Rebello will defend his title against Kevin Haley.
Haley is fighting out of Pittsburg, New Hampshire- the northernmost part of the state. He comes into the title bout on a losing streak, losing his last two fights. His last loss was to William Knight, which is no shame because he beats everyone and is scheduled to appear on DWTNCS this summer. All that can be left in the past with a win at CES 57, he has a well-rounded game and has shown the ability to finish fights different ways.
Haley will make the long trip down to Rhode Island, and the ride back will be a lot sweeter if he brings home gold.
Rebello hails from Providence, Rhode Island and has not lost in CES since 2016. Rebello has been on the UFC’s radar for some time now, seen on DWTNCS twice, but has not gotten the desired result losing both bouts. Sporting a 24-9 professional record, the 37 year old is definitely the more experienced fighter and has been a mainstay at CES for years, dating back to CES 3 in 2010.
As is the case when a belt is on the line, the pressure will be turned up for this fight. Both fighters have been involved in high profile fights. This falls right into that category as well.
Tune into UFC Fight Pass in July to watch CES 57: Rebello vs Haley live.
