Aaron Pico vs. Adam Borics set for Bellator 222 in Madison Square Garden
Aaron Pico makes his Bellator return in New York.
The featherweight prospect will face an undefeated Adam Borics at Bellator 222 inside Madison Square Garden, according to Marc Raimondi of ESPN.
Pico (4-2) is coming off a first-round knockout loss to Henry Corrales at Bellator 214 in January. Previously, Pico was on a four-fight win streak, all of which were first-round knockouts. The fight announcement comes shortly after Pico switched gyms to Jackson Wink MMA in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Borics (8-0-0) has picked up three wins under the Bellator MMA banner, defeating Anthony Taylor, Teodor Nikolov and Josenaldo Silva. Borics has competed eight times as a professional MMA fighter and only two of those bouts went the distance.
Bellator 222 takes place on Friday, June 14 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with Chael Sonnen and Lyoto Machida headlining. Also on the card, Rory MacDonald will defend his welterweight title against Neiman Gracie in a Bellator Welterweight World Grand Prix semifinal bout.
