WWE Elimination Chamber Predictions
WWE’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view takes place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Championships are on the line and the first-ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions will be crowned February 17.
With the new titles up for grabs inside an Elimination Chamber match, we wanted to predict which duo will take home the inaugural belts.
Check our staff predictions below:
Elimination Chamber Match for WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: The Boss N Hug Connection vs Naomi & Carmella vs Nia Jax & Tamina vs The IIconics vs Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville vs Riott Squad
Joel: Since the announcement of the new titles, I knew The Boss N Hug Connection would chase them. They are the obvious choice, being the most popular and two of the four women leading the revolution. Because they are the obvious choice, I have a feeling WWE will throw their fans for a curveball. With the hype behind Nia Jax as of late with the announcement of an intergender matchup against Dean Ambrose, I have a strong feeling the duo will hold the inaugural belts. Both women are powerful and will be targets heading into the Chamber. Jax’s popularity continues to skyrocket and Tamina is a veteran who has yet to hold a WWE championship. It’s time to build the division and this is how they’ll do it. To keep it interesting, I see Jax & Tamina defending (and losing) to Banks and Bayley at WrestleMania 35.
Choice to win: Nia Jax & Tamina
Kristyn: I feel with their connection as friends and tag partners, Sasha Banks and Bayley are the clear choice to win the match. I love them and know they will be the first-ever Tag Team Champions.
Choice to win: The Boss N Hug Connection
Connor: Similar to Joel, I feel the Banks and Bayley are the shoe-in to win. Because of that, I don’t think they will since it’s so obvious. I’m torn between Jax and Tamina or Riott Squad. Since Ruby is booked to fight Ronda Rousey and won’t be able to interfere, I have to go with The Samoan Slaughterhouse.
Choice to win: Nia Jax & Tamina
