The fights to watch at UFC Fight Night 134 in Hamburg, Germany
UFC Hamburg is the perfect card to watch up-and-coming fighters attempt to make a name for themselves in the UFC.
This card is stacked with veterans, MMA prodigies, true scrappers, and undefeated fighters. The UFC is in need of new stars and this is the card that could serve as a platform for fighters to gain a following. Here’s a list of fights that have potential to steal the show in Germany.
Jeremy Kimball vs Darko Stosic
This match is one you should keep a close eye on. Stosic is the prodigy of Mirko Cro Cop, one of the greatest heavyweights of all-time, so there are high expectations. He’s in great shape, has a 12-1 record, and looks to make his UFC debut against a solid opponent in Jeremy Kimball.
Emil Meek vs Bartosz Fabinski
Meek debuted back in December of 2017 and since then, has made a name for himself as a true scrapper in the UFC. Meek has the look, loves to fight, has a great personality, and most importantly – loves getting into bloody wars with his opponents. The Viking looks to get back in the win column after his loss to Kamaru Usman at UFC Fight Night 124, with a win over Poland’s Bartosz Fabinski.
This matchup has the potential to be Fight of the Night.
Nasrat Haqparast vs Mark Diakiese
If you were able to catch the face-off between these two at the weigh-ins, you’d know that there is bad blood heading into this fight. This is a great matchup for the Lightweight division and the fight will be an absolute war.
Make sure to keep an eye on this fight, Dikiese is an exciting fighter with a unique style and his fights rarely disappoint.
Marcin Tybura vs Stefan Struve
This is an important bout in the UFC heavyweight division and one that will not last all three rounds. Stuve has a win over the former champion, Stipe Miocic and Tybura is no easy opponent, coming in with a 16-4 record.
With the Heavyweight Division up in the air and a potential vacant belt on the horizon, this is a match to watch for. Title implications could be in favor for the winner of this bout.
Shogun Rua vs Anthony Smith
Ever since Daniel Cormier captured the UFC Heavyweight Championship at UFC 226, there has been much talk regarding this match being a potential title contender eliminator. Recently, Cormier mentioned wanting to defend his Light Heavyweight Championship against Shogun Rua, so if Smith can pull of the win, there will be no denying him as a potential contender for the 205-pound belt.
I wouldn’t miss this main event. Someone is going to get knocked out.
