5 Things That Should Happen On WWE Raw’s Netflix Debut

Read Time:3 Minute, 46 Second

The excitement is undeniable as WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night Raw, gears up for its highly anticipated Netflix debut. This landmark partnership between WWE and Netflix signals a major shift in the landscape of cable television. For the first time ever, they will be bringing premium sports entertainment to the streaming world. Promoted as a mini WrestleMania, expectations are sky-high with rumors swirling about shocking returns, potential debuts, and blockbuster matches.

As the wrestling world braces for this historic event, here are the key things we hope to see that could define the beginning of this bold new era for Raw.

John Cena Declares For The 2025 Royal Rumble

2025 will mark the end of the in-ring career for one of the most iconic WWE superstars of all time, John Cena. He has been advertised for Los Angeles, but the question is, what will he do? Assuming he isn’t having a match, he should declare for the Royal Rumble. A world title match at WrestleMania should be on the horizon for Cena, and that should begin here. Cena should cut a passionate promo laying down the groundwork for his final run. All while placing an emphasis on the importance of the Royal Rumble.

The Liv-Rhea Feud (Finally) Comes To An End

One of the marquee matches for WWE’s debut on Netflix will be Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship. With WrestleMania season upon us, this feud needs to end with this match. Rhea and Liv have been doing good work with what they have been given. But, it has simply dragged on for far too long. The focus on Dominik Mysterio has done a disservice to not only the women involved, but the title itself. In a perfect world, Rhea Ripley regains her title on Netflix and then come rumble time, we find out who she will face at WrestleMania. Liv has proven that she is a top player on Raw. So, her dropping the title here and moving on will (hopefully) help her more than harm.

Tiffany Stratton Cashes In

If WWE wants to create a moment, they should have Tiffany Stratton cash in on the debut episode of Raw on Netflix. While her storyline with Nia Jax seems to hint at a potential cash-in on Nia, targeting Liv Morgan instead would inject fresh energy into the Raw women’s division and spark new rivalries. Fans are eager for this, and if WrestleMania isn’t the stage for her cash-in, then doing it on Netflix would be the next most impactful option.

This isn’t a random idea either—WWE has been teasing the possibility of Tiffany cashing in on Liv. She’s even been spotted in the background of segments, chatting with Adam Pearce. With the transfer portal looming, it’s highly likely she could end up on Raw regardless.

Pentagon Jr. Debut

WWE is starting the new year off with a bang, as Pentagon Jr. is WWE-bound. There is no better place for his debut than the first Monday Night Raw on Netflix. WWE is really stacking the show, and having him debut here will present him as a big deal immediately. All signs point to Penta forming a team with Rey Mysterio and the LWO. However, many would like to see the opposite.

Let’s see Penta turn on Rey and kickstart his first feud in the WWE. Him and Rey had a fantastic match in Lucha Undergound, and having him turn on a beloved character like Rey would be incredibly impactful. The LWO is fine for what it is. But, separating Penta from them immediately will go a long way in making him stand out.

Becky Lynch Returns

Speaking of injecting fresh energy into the women’s division, Becky Lynch’s return would be monumental. With new mid-card titles up for grabs and unresolved rivalries with the women vying for the championship on Netflix, her comeback feels overdue. Time away can be rejuvenating, but Becky needs to return as a heel, not a babyface. Netflix has already requested The Man for their videos promoting the move to the streaming platform. Rumors also suggest she’ll play a significant role in WrestleMania 41. It’s only a matter of time… So, why not bring her back on one of the biggest nights of the year?
