Miguel Navarro previews UFC 308: Topuria vs. Holloway

In the latest edition of our Main Event Preview, we dive into the super fight between Ilia Topuria and Max Holloway at UFC 308. We sat down with soon-to-be pro-MMA fighter Miguel Navarro, who just so happens to know Ilia Topuria better than most. “Manguelo” is an amateur fighter based out of the up-and-coming MMA gym, Climent Club. He has helped the current UFC featherweight champion prepare for a number of fights, including this one on October 26th.
This Saturday, we see the newly crowned featherweight king take on one the greatest featherweights of all time. It’s a bout deemed by many as a potential Fight of the Year contender. Given the spectacular matchup, how could it not be? Miguel discusses the stylistic matchup and who he considers to be in the top 5 boxers of the UFC. He touches on Ilia’s respect for the BMF champion and how “El Matador” has been the best in the world for a while. Navarro also discusses the champion’s impact in Spain, and how MMA has reached a new level of mainstream there.
