Who will win the 2022 Royal Rumble?
This weekend, the Royal Rumble returns and the road to WrestleMania will begin. But before all this, we need winners for the Women’s and Men’s Royal Rumble matches.
This year, there are a bunch of favorites…
Men’s Royal Rumble
The Men’s Rumble feels like a two-horse race with the most likely scenario being for Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar to win the Rumble and have a unification title match as one of the WrestleMania main events.
Reigns and Lesnar make the most sense as winners, especially because WWE sees both as their best draws. They are also two of the biggest favorites to win according to the betting houses.
Another option would be Big E, after a disappointing title reign as WWE Champion, winning the Rumble could help Big E get back on track on his main-eventer run. This option is somewhat of a longshot. Other favorites are Drew McIntyre (2020 Royal Rumble winner) or any legend.
Women’s Royal Rumble
While the Men’s Royal Rumble feels like a two-horse race, the Women’s Royal Rumble has more of an open playing field with a lot of options for this year’s winner.
Bianca Belair, last year’s winner, is the favorite to win again according to most betting houses. There’s also the story of redemption for Belair after she failed to beat the current RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch on last year’s SummerSlam. Bayley is in second place according to most betting odds and a very popular choice to win by fans, since this would be her return since getting injured back in June of 2021.
Alexa Bliss is another favorite to win the Rumble by the betting houses. She’s currently part of a storyline where she is dealing with her demonic powers with a psychologist in short vignettes every week. Other favorites by the betting houses include: Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair and Raquel Gonzalez.
