5 No-Brainer NXT Call-Ups in 2025

Read Time:3 Minute, 11 Second

It’s always good to see an NXT star get called up to Raw or SmackDown. NXT has been one of the hottest wrestling shows dating back to when it was known as the black and gold brand. The product hit a lull when it was relaunched as NXT 2.0. Even during that transition, talent did their jobs and made us invest in them.

In the past, most NXT stars were known wrestlers from other organizations that dreamed to be on the main roster. Under Shawn Michaels, they have brought in some indie veterans. But, over the last few years, they have developed their homegrown talent. With Raw streaming on Netflix, SmackDown becoming three hours, and the transfer window opening up, NXT call-ups are bound to happen soon.

Read about 5 current NXT stars that could be getting called up in 2025:

Ethan Page

Ethan Page is no stranger to the bright lights, as he has in TNA and AEW previously. The NXT Braintrust knew what they were getting with him, so he was positioned as a main event talent upon arrival. Page would win the NXT title weeks after debuting, which rarely happens in WWE. Once he’s called up, he can do a program with CM Punk, who he blames for losing his title to Trick Williams.

“All Ego” is ready for the main roster and would add quality depth to the mid-card.

Trick Williams

This one is based on Trick Williams losing the title to Oba Femi. Trick Willy has grown from Carmelo Hayes’ hype man, to a star in NXT. Although his mic work can use some work, it’s hard to deny his talent and build. Williams made an appearance on SmackDown back in January and received a nice reaction, which was noted by WWE officials.

He wasn’t given the fast track in NXT. But as a homegrown talent, he should transition well to the main roster.

Roxanne Perez

The former ROH champion has been as advertised. She started as a babyface, but has done her best work as a heel. Out of everyone on the list, Roxanne Perez is the only Royal Rumble entrant, doing it twice now. Although she is only 22 years old, “The Prodigy” has put together a fabulous resume for herself in NXT. A move to Raw or SmackDown should be next on her agenda.

Like with Trick Williams, this is based on Perez dropping the title to Giulia.

Gallus

These guys could’ve been called up last year. But, the injury bug hit the group. Wolfgang, Joe & Mark Coffey have paid their dues in NXT UK, and now NXT. It’s also been said Triple H is looking to reinvest in the tag team division, and Gallus is a proven unit. They really haven’t had a meaningful storyline since dropping the belts in the summer of 2023.

A change of scenery should reignite these three hard hitters in the tag team mix.

Wes Lee

Yes, Wes Lee was injured recently, and what? WWE knows how to reintroduce stars to the audience after layoffs. Lee has had a successful run in NXT already… He is a two-time NXT Tag Team Champ and a former NXT North American Champion. The 29-year-old, though small in size, has great talent and can hold his own on the mic. He will most likely miss the Royal Rumble this year. But, WWE creative could have a storyline ready to go upon his return.

NXT is packed with exceptional talent ready to break through to the main roster. With the trade deadline approaching on the main roster, it’s only a matter of time.
