2025 Men’s Royal Rumble: The 5 Wrestlers Most Likely To Win

Read Time:4 Minute, 30 Second

Can you believe that the Road to WrestleMania is just around the corner again? Part of what has made this new era in WWE feel so special is the current wealth of main event talent that has emerged in the last few years. With so many top guys, it now makes matches like the Royal Rumble that much harder to predict. Read about five candidates that are most likely to win the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match on February 1st.

CM Punk

CM Punk has cemented himself as one of the top draws in wrestling, no matter where he goes. So you had to imagine that his WWE return would see him enter the world title picture sooner or later. Given his comments to Seth Rollins on the Raw after Survivor Series, it appears that Punk is now shifting his attention to the top prize. Just months back, it seemed like he was primed to chase after Gunther’s World Heavyweight Championship. Yet in the midst of Survivor Series, with Paul Heyman now owing him a favor, it seems that Punk chasing after the Undisputed WWE Championship is possible. Despite Punk’s desire to main event WrestleMania, you have to wonder if Seth Rollins will play spoiler to his bitter foe. Especially when you consider the fact that these two were set to headline night one of last year’s WrestleMania. With all that said, counting a star like CM Punk out of any big match is never wise.

Jey Uso

You can seriously make a case that Jey Uso is the most over superstar in the WWE right now. If there’s one thing we know about WWE, when someone becomes undeniable in the eyes of the fans, they’re rewarded. Was Jey Uso winning the Intercontinental Championship his reward? Or does the WWE have bigger plans for him at this year’s WrestleMania? To be honest, Jey is probably the least likely to win the Royal Rumble of anyone on this list. Despite his ties to Rhodes, it’s difficult to see the Undisputed WWE Champion feud with another member of The Bloodline. If the “Yeet” man is to win the Rumble, he would more than likely chase after Gunther. Unlike Jimmy, Jey has followed his own unique path since becoming a solo competitor.

John Cena

John Cena set the wrestling world on fire this summer when he announced his farewell tour taking place in 2025. Cena plans on starting in January and finally ending it all in December with around 36 appearances throughout the year. Since this announcement, wrestling fans have speculated like crazy in regards to Cena potentially winning his 17th world championship. By the way, a 17th world title that would surpass Rick Flair to become the most winningest champion in WWE history. Fortunately for Cena, there is no better fast track to being a world champion than winning the upcoming Royal Rumble. A Royal Rumble win that would tie “Big Match John” for the most at 3 with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Cena has not won a singles match since 2018. I think an underdog feud with a powerhouse like Gunther can go a long way. Even Rhodes’s history of learning on the road with Cena for a year can be turned into an intriguing feud. If Cena is to win another world championship, then it is now or never. It all starts at the Royal Rumble…

Randy Orton

From a storyline perspective, I don’t know who would benefit from winning the Royal Rumble more than Randy Orton. A Rhodes-Orton feud is possibly the best story WWE can put out in 2025. The cinema writes itself when you include the long history between them, dating back to their Legacy faction in 2008. Randy is someone that Cody idolized as he made his way up in the business. Someone that he loves like a brother. Unfortunately for Randy, being friends with Cody has put his health and career at risk on several occasions. You also have to wonder how Cody teaming with Roman at Bad Blood had to make Randy feel. It has been speculated that a heel turn could be on the horizon for Orton. What better way to follow up WrestleMania 40 for Cody than a marquee matchup with one of the best heels? If WWE does not forgo the Roman or Rock route for Cody, then this is easily their best choice. Similar to Cena, a third Rumble victory would tie Orton for most all-time alongside Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Roman Reigns

Anytime you discuss the Undisputed WWE Championship, Roman Reigns will always make his way into the conversation. For starters, he is the longest-reigning WWE Champion of the modern era. Plus, he has yet to get his rematch for the belt. Roman and Cody are also tied at 1-1, and we know we’ll eventually see a trilogy. Despite the two teaming up at Bad Blood, Roman made it clear that he still has every intention of reclaiming his championship. He has main evented 20% of all WrestleMania’s in history… So let’s be honest, it would be hard to say he won’t be doing it again for the 10th time. Especially when you consider the success that WWE has had with the “Tribal Chief” in the main event.
