The Scrap’s 2019 Submission of the Year: Bryce Mitchell’s Twister

Read Time:39 Second

2019 was full of jaw dropping finishes and a number of rarely seen submissions that left fans in awe.

With many submissions showcasing high difficulty and showmanship, one stood out and ran away with the win. That was Bryce Mitchell defeating Matt Sayles at UFC on ESPN 7.

Mitchell recorded just the second Twister in UFC history, a feat on its own. The legend continued to grow when Mitchell told everyone how he learned the technique.

Fans cannot wait to see what 2020 will be like for Mitchell. After the Twister, he signed a 4-fight contract with the UFC. The win even made him popular with more casual fight fans.

Congratulations to Bryce Mitchell for winning the 2019 Submission of the Year!
