We pride ourselves in being a site many first-time writers get a chance to write for.

At The Scrap, we help develop new writers and provide resources to build their name. One writer who came into the fight game with no experience but had a killer 2019 was Connor Rogowsky.

Rags helped create The Scrap, but that doesn’t mean he came from a journalism background. He started writing MMA content for the very first time when the site opened and was one who helped bring in tons of viewers.

Connor gave us the Scouting Report column, fight prediction write-ups, and many regional fight news announcements. He provided Contender Series coverage religiously and plenty of content tailored to the more unknown parts of MMA.

I am extremely honored and proud to announce Connor Rogowsky as the 2019 Rookie Writer of the Year! No one is more deserving of this award.
