The Scrap’s 2019 Ring Announcer on the Rise: Kody ‘Big Mo’ Mommaerts
It takes a special individual to not only hype a crowd, but bring in the entertainment factor when announcing fight cards.
When it comes to announcers on the rise that are making noise and giving all to their craft, the first person that comes to mind is Kody Mommaerts aka “Big Mo”.
Mommaerts is a former D1 Football Player turned ring announcer and has a larger than life personality. He brings life to any fight card he’s on, regardless of how large or small the crowd is. His swagger is evident and he has the voice you’d expect from a quality ring announcer.
He’s also the youngest in the game currently.
Oh, and they don’t call him “Big Mo” for nothing. He’s a giant, someone you think would try and make a run with the WWE. He looks the part, sounds the part, and has really brought something different to the Sparta Combat League and Airtight Boxing brands in Colorado.
There is no doubt in my mind that Kody is the next big thing in combat sports. He’s a name you’ll likely continue to hear rising the ranks of announcers and is our official 2019 Ring Announcer on the Rise.
Congratulations to “Big Mo” on being named our first-ever Ring Announcer on the Rise—We’re excited to see what 2020 brings!
